Cancer Fatal To Eva Daniel: Mrs. Eva Daniel, 35 (?), wife of Proctor Daniel, died of cancer after an illness of over a year at 6:15, Thursday, June 2, at the home of her mother, Mrs. Frank Montgomery, on Boyd Street.

Mrs. Daniel was born July 19, 1918 (?), the daughter of Mrs. Alma Shepard Bradley and the late Lewis M. Bradley. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and had lived in Paintsville all of her life with the exception of two years during the war.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Violet Nelson, Ashland; Mrs. Edith Onstatt, Rochester, Indiana; Mrs. Gladys Oppenheimer, Barnetts Creek, Ky.; Mrs. Mildred Collier, Jackson; Miss; Mildred Bradley, Rochester, Indiana; Mrs. Frances Evelyn Hart and Mrs. Numia Pickle, both of Paintsville, and three brothers, Everet Bradley, Olive Hill; Lewis Virgil Bradley, City; and William Bradley, Danville.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m., Sunday, June 5, at the Freewill Baptist Church, City, by the Revs. Scott Castle and Charles Lemaster. Burial was in the Daniel Cemetery at Kerz, Ky., under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mayo United Methodist Church in

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 16, 1 p.m. at the Mayo United Methodist Church in Paintsville, Ky., for Numia L. Bradley Pickle, 76, of Paintsville, who passed away Monday, Dec. 12 2005 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Mrs. Pickle was born March 7, 1929 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Lewis M. and Almeda Shephard Bradley. She was a retired U.S. Postal Service supervisor and a board member of the Paintsville Housing Authority. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Eric Pickle and one daughter, Linda Kay Pickle. Surviving are her husband, James E. Pickle of Paintsville; two daughters, Delores A. and Sherry Pickle, both of Paintsville; one sister, Mary Martha Schell of Flint, Mich.; and a host of nieces and nephews. The service was officiated by John Boyd, with burial in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of Paintsville.
