Jennings Children William Baldridge Born:1689 in County Tyrone, Ulster, Ireland. Died: November 25, 1772 in Little Britain Township, Pennsylvania. Married: June 16 1714 to Janette Holmes in Chapel of St. Andrews Cathedral in County Tyrone Ireland, and very likely made their living in or around the City of Coleraine as "yeomen", a class of small, independent, freeholding farmers. Janette was born June 24 1694, County Down, Ireland, Christened July 2 1694 in Belfast Antrim Ireland, and Died July 7 1768. Her Parents were: Sir William James Holmes and Margaret Jane Jennings. (Jane Jennings was the daughter of Francis and Jean Scott Jennings, they had another daughter Mary, who m.1654 John Caldwell in Derry Cathedral) William and Janette had 6 children, all born in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ulster Province. The entire family, except for eldest son John, emigrated to America on board "The Queen Margaret" in 1730. They landed in Philadelphia, and settled in Lancaster PA. William and Janette (Holmes) Baldridge lived the remainder of their lives as farmers/weavers on land they colonized just north of the present-day Mason-Dixon Line, between Octoraro Creek and the eastern bank of the Susquehanna River. It is believed they were members of the Muddy Run Society, a Little Britain Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Lancaster County, where they are very likely buried, although there are no known tombstones there bearing their names.

THIRD GENERATION 3. John BALDRIDGE Sr. (William Albert-2, Richard-1) was born on Nov 11 1715 in Coleraine, Ulster Province, Ireland. He died on Jul 16 1766 in Martic Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. John had remained in Ulster Province in the far north of Ireland when his parents emigrated to America. In about 1733, in Coleraine, County Londonderry, John married Rebekah Clark who had been born in that area around 1720. With their then three young children, John and Rebekah also emigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, purportedly aboard the "Village Belle", arriving about 1737. They colonized land in Martic Township in southern Lancaster County just a few miles northwest of John's parents. Scotish-Irish neighbors traveled south to North Carolina and bought acreage in old Mecklenburg County (northwest of the present-day city of Charlotte). An abstract, dated May 13, 1765, attesting to the purchase by John Baldrige of the land along Indian Creek and the Catawba River can be found in Tyron-Lincoln County Deeds, Volume 1, Pages 670-671. Three other deeds involving similar purchases or rentals of land in that area by John Baldrige appear on pages 155-159 of Volume 4, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Deed Abstracts. In late July 1766, before he could relocate his family to North Carolina, John Baldrige's Last Will and Testament, dated July 15, 1766 and filed for probate on July 31, 1766, was recorded in Will Book "B", Volume 1, Page 448, Official Records of Lancaster County. It is generally considered that John Baldrige was buried in the cemetary of the Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, although there is no known tombstone there bearing his name.
